Axle load measurement system by Wagencontrol is a simple affordable solution, which can be used with majority of GPS tracking ad vehicle telematics devices. Or even without any – special display in driver’s cabin can be installed. The solution is suitable for air pressure and spring suspension systems, so it will fit 95% of vehicles.
Axle load monitoring system setup
Axle weight (axle load) measurement can be used as a part of telematics systems for road trucks, tippers and construction vehicles, municipal service vehicles, also for city buses.
Monitoring system of axle weight (axle load) allows to avoid fines for overloading and reduce maintenance costs connected to vehicle overloading, increase utilization of vehicle by optimizing amount of cargo, detect underhand (unauthorized by fleet owner) loading and unloading of cargo.
In case of dump trucks and municipal services trucks, axle load measurement helps to make sure that vehicle loaded trash at customer’s location and detect where the trash was unloaded in the end of the route/shift.

GNOM DP for spring suspension
GNOM DP position sensor is designed for measuring axle and cargo load on vehicles with leaf spring suspension. GNOM DP integrates in a fleet monitoring system and transmits data as an analog signal. The tracking device converts this signal in load mass value according to the calibration table.
GNOM DP position sensor is installed on the rear axle or the rear bogie of the vehicle. A single sensor is enough to monitor vehicle axle and cargo load. For quick control of axle load and truck wight by a driver, It is recommended to use MasterCAN Display 35, which is installed in driver’s cabin.
